In a world full of smart gadgets, creating technology that feels genuinely alive is the real challenge. With Moflin, CASIO created an emotionally intelligent companion that learns your feelings to offer real comfort.

Already sold out in Japan, our task was to replicate that success worldwide by introducing Moflin not as a device, but as a friend.

The brief was clear: create a product launch campaign to translate Moflin's appeal for the rest of the world, with a focus on UK and US markets.

To break the market, we knew we had to first win over its most influential & forward-thinking consumers: Gen Z and Millennials.

The core creative challenge was therefore to look past the AI and robotics, and instead forge a genuine emotional bond that would establish Moflin as a true companion, rather than just a clever robot.

We designed every campaign asset was to position Moflin as a companion for 'all of life's moments', spanning the full breadth of our Gen Z and Millennial audience: from the morning rush of the school run to the quiet need for self-care.

Showcasing the Innovation: A 'Tech' Film

Once that emotional bond was forged, we showcased the incredible innovation behind Moflin. A separate docu-style tech film was created not for a hard sell, but for credibility.

It demystified the AI for the press, tech enthusiasts, and the deeply curious, blending developer insights with user moments to ground CASIO’s breakthrough technology in its real-world, emotional impact.

We chose to shoot all stills in parallel with the film to build a versatile asset library for CASIO. This approach armed the campaign with everything it needed: warm editorial shots for social and web, and clean product shots for PR and sustainment.

To engage Gen Z and Millennials, we created fifteen shareable social assets optimised for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. These short cuts used ASMR and intimate, relatable moments to highlight Moflin's comforting nature.

Finally, to bring the campaign together, we designed Moflin’s UK e-commerce platform - a seamless home for our assets, built specifically to showcase the product and drive sales.

It was an absolute pleasure working together. The shoot was the most calming and relaxing we've ever experienced, and the assets turned out great.
